Muscat \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>With the participation of the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT), the 32nd edition of the\u00a0Arabian Travel Market\u00a0(ATM) kicked off. This year\u2019s exhibition, held under the theme \u2018Global\u00a0Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity,\u2019 is being hosted in Dubai, United\u00a0Arab\u00a0Emirates, over four consecutive days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Omani delegation is headed by His Excellency Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, who stated that the Ministry is participating with 37 tourism and hospitality companies and institutions, including a number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His Excellency confirmed that Oman\u2019s participation in the Arabian Travel Market 2025 in Dubai is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the Sultanate\u2019s position on the global tourism map as a leading destination offering tourism experiences that meet the aspirations of visitors from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added, \u201cOur participation this year aims to enhance the presence of Omani tourism companies and institutions in global markets, representing various tourism sectors, including SMEs. This reflects our commitment to creating new opportunities for these companies to expand their businesses and improve their competitiveness internationally.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His Excellency also pointed out that Oman seeks through its participation to attract more investors and international partners. The Omani pavilion will feature various activities, including the signing of strategic partnership agreements with international tourism institutions and the announcement of the Dhofar Autumn 2025 season, one of the region\u2019s key seasonal tourism events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted, \u201cParticipation in this exhibition offers an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with regional and international airlines to increase tourist flows to Oman, which is a key component of our future plans. Our involvement in the Arabian Travel Market 2025 is not only for tourism promotion but also to showcase our future vision for achieving sustainable tourism development offering diverse experiences aligned with Oman Vision 2040. We are confident that our efforts will enhance Oman\u2019s position as a unique global tourism destination known for its authenticity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oman\u2019s participation in the exhibition includes a variety of activities and events, such as meetings between ministers, CEOs, and international and regional airlines, in addition to a press conference to announce the activities and events of Dhofar Autumn 2025. Several agreements will also be signed with global tourism institutions to enter into promotional partnerships with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, alongside direct meetings with various travel and tourism companies and service providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Arabian Travel Market 2025 is considered an ideal platform for exchanging expertise and fostering collaboration among entities operating in the travel and tourism sector, including hotels, airlines, travel agencies, and tour operators, with participation from 161 countries and 2,800 exhibitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Statistics indicate that the number of travellers arriving in Oman from the GCC tourism markets (Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain) by air reached 1,506,688 passengers in 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
